Due to different head shapes, individuals of the same measured size may not necessarily fit the same size helmet. A cloth tape measurement can be used to make your initial size determination.

The circumference of your head should be measured at a point about one inch above your eyebrows in the front and at a point at the back of your head, resulting in the greatest extent possible. Take several measurements to ensure you have the largest one. However, this guide is not a rough and exact one, as the shape of the head is as important as the measurement, and may affect the final fit.
